We were pleased to host Mr Fauzi, Education Attache from the Embassy of Indonesia in London, on the Colchester Campus. Mr Fauzi, is himself an academic and began his placement in the UK in December 2010. He met, among others, Dr David Smith, from the Department of Biological Science to discuss Essex's work on Coral Reefs, and a group of students who are currently studying with us for a PhD.
We discussed a number of way in which Essex and universities in Indonesia might usefully cooperate in future.
